A woman who was out shopping was suddenly picked up and tossed 10ft in the air by a passing bull.
The woman, who can be seen in CCTV footage wearing a bright yellow sari, was unaware she was being stalked by the large beast.
He quietly wandered up behind her before attempting to gorge her with its sharp horns.
The animal barges past motorbikes and scooters to charge at the woman.
Shocked onlookers then run to her rescue while the animal calmly wandered away, in the town of Gujarat, in India, at around 11am yesterday.
One local said: “The animal appeared calm at first as it crossed the road and passed unnoticed between traffic.
“The bull then set its sights on the woman and hurled her off the ground with devastating force.
“She lands flush against the concrete, narrowly missing several parked motorbikes.
“The bad-tempered bull then flicked its tail and walked away like nothing happened.”
The unnamed victim is being treated in hospital but her condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
